What is Morita Therapy?

The four phases of Morita Therapy?
Morita’s original treatment lasts for fifteen to twenty-one days, consist of following stages:-
- Isolation and rest (five to seven days) : In this week patient rests in a room without any external stimuli. No television, books, family, friends or speaking. At this time patient has to observe the rise and fall of his emotions.
- Light Occupational Therapy (five to seven days) : In this stage, the patient performs simple activities, such as gardening, drawing or painting and get close to mother nature, which helps in the process of healing the soul.
- Occupational Therapy (five to seven day) : In this stage, the patient performs tasks that require physical movements such as writing, making ceramics and breathing exercises.
- The return to social life : This is final week when patient leaves the hospital and is reintroduced to social life, and maintains meditations and work without any social and emotional pressures.
